Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Dudley
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum
Hours: 7:15am – 4:00pm (Monday to Thursday) / Half-day finish on Fridays
Overtime: Paid at Time and a Half
Overseas Travel: Maximum 4 times per year
We are looking for two experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a leading engineering manufacturer specialising in bespoke machinery for Tier 1 Suppliers and OEMs. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to work in a dynamic and growing business, providing cutting-edge engineering solutions for a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Mechanical Fitter, you will assemble, install, and maintain bespoke machinery for Tier 1 Suppliers and OEM clients.
- Work with complex pneumatic and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and functionality as part of your daily tasks as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and schematics to complete installations and repairs as a skilled Mechanical Fitter.
- Carry out precision mechanical fitting tasks, ensuring all components are correctly aligned, assembled, and tested, leveraging your expertise as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults as a proactive and solutions-focused Mechanical Fitter.
- Travel overseas as required (maximum of 4 trips per year) for installations, repairs, or customer support.
Ideal Candidate:
- Apprentice-trained with a solid understanding of mechanical fitting principles.
- Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility for occasional overseas travel (up to 4 times per year).
