Contract Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: West Midlands, Duration: 6 Months, Outside IR35
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a 6-month contract with a leading engineering business. You’ll be responsible for producing 2D and 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, supporting special-purpose machinery projects.
Key skills required:
3 years’ mechanical design experience.
Strong 3D CAD skills (Inventor essential).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and GD&T.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Desirable:
Exposure to fabrication, chemical, or processing sectors.
R&D or NPD experience.
